Driftwood Western

Start a Commission

A Driftwood commission begins with how the rifle will actually be used.

You may already know the model, caliber, optic, suppressor, or Proven Build you want to start from. Or you may simply know the job the rifle needs to do. Either is enough.

We’ll work through the important decisions with you, confirm the complete configuration and price, and build the rifle as a system rather than a collection of parts.

How a Commission Works

1. Start the conversation

Tell us what you are trying to accomplish, how and where the rifle will be used, and anything you already know you want included. If you arrived from a Proven Build page, that build becomes the starting point for the discussion.

2. Define the rifle

We work through the decisions that materially affect the finished system — platform, caliber, barrel, suppressor use, furniture, optic, handling, finish and other relevant equipment. Not every component needs to change simply because the rifle is a commission. Parts that already suit the mission can remain.

3. Confirm the build

Before work begins, Driftwood provides the final build configuration, price, expected timing, and any applicable deposit or payment requirements. Nothing goes into production based on an unfinished configurator or an assumed parts list.

4. Build, test and validate

The rifle is assembled, inspected and tested as a complete system. Driftwood records the final configuration and any relevant validation performed before delivery.

5. Delivery

Once the rifle is complete, we coordinate the appropriate delivery or transfer process and provide the documentation associated with the finished build.

You do not need a finished parts list. Intended use, preferences, constraints and questions are enough to begin.
