House treatments

Signature Finishes

Hill Country Brown

A warm, subdued earth brown. Darker and richer than FDE, never orange or copper. Matte to low satin.

Midnight Blue

Deep blue-black with a faint steel-blue sheen, in the character of fresh traditional bluing. Satin.

Midnight Blue — Heirloom

The hand-worn, inherited treatment: deep blue holds in the flats and recesses, while brighter steel shows through at the handling edges and high points. Hand-worked, so no two are identical.

Midnight Blue — Weathered

The aged, weather-exposed treatment: a faded grey-blue base, deeper blue held in protected areas, and restrained rust-brown weathering with subtle oxidation at the lower edges. Never orange or broadly brown. Hand-worked.

Smoke Grey

A subdued medium-to-dark metallic grey.

Familiar colors

Standards

Black

Clean, conventional black.

FDE

Flat Dark Earth, the familiar light tan.

Burnt Bronze

Warm tan-bronze with metallic depth.

Works best tied to a warm material such as walnut or leather, so it is not offered for every configuration.

OD Green

Olive drab, a muted field green.

Hand-applied

Patterns

HCC — Hill Country Camo

A Driftwood camouflage treatment of large, hard-edged, interlocking shapes, applied to work with the materials and architecture of the build. Shown here as a flat pattern sample.

Mustang

Mustang Finish Architecture

Mustang works differently from the Rancher and Varmint. The starting donor rifle establishes much of the visual baseline.

Mustang builds may begin with a traditional blued/walnut, stainless/grey laminate, blacked out, or other factory donor finish. The Bronze Mustang on this site is an example of a Henry burnt bronze and walnut factory finish.

Aftermarket aluminum components  can be Cerakoted independently in a standard color, a Driftwood finish, or a selected pattern where appropriate.

Swatches are illustrations for general reference. Screens and lighting change how color and sheen appear; each finish is confirmed against a physical sample before the build begins.
