Driftwood Western FDE Varmint — isolated profile, the exact rifle available now
Model Varmint
Proven Build FDE

The FDE Varmint is the lighter, brighter expression of Driftwood Western’s precision rimfire. It pairs a fluted steel barrel with the rigid Victor Titan stock, a clean magnified optic, and a suppressor-ready setup built for practical field accuracy.

The goal isn’t a bench rifle dressed for the field. It’s a rifle that carries easily, settles quickly, and delivers the kind of precision that makes a .22 genuinely useful around a ranch, range, or hunting property.

One available now — this exact Proven Build is currently built and in stock as a ready-to-ship rifle. See the FDE Varmint — Available Now. This Proven Build page remains the enduring reference for commissioning a new FDE Varmint once that unit sells.

Why It Works

  • Fluted steel barrel: The steel bull-barrel architecture puts accuracy first, while fluting removes unnecessary mass and gives the rifle a distinctive visual identity.
  • Victor Titan stock: A rigid stock and anchored action give the 10/22 platform a stable foundation without turning the rifle into a heavy bench gun.
  • Useful rimfire glass: The 2–7× optic provides enough magnification to take advantage of the rifle’s accuracy while remaining compact for field use.
  • Suppressor-ready: Balance, barrel profile, and overall setup were developed with suppressed use in mind.

What We’ve Proven

  • Function and reliability: The FDE Varmint has been cycled and function-tested across repeated range sessions during development, with the fluted barrel and Victor Titan stock treated as one accuracy system rather than separate parts.
  • Suppressed operation: Balance and handling were evaluated with a suppressor installed, consistent with this build’s suppressor-ready design intent.

These are observed development results, not accuracy guarantees.

Built to Evolve

The FDE Proven Build is defined by the relationships that make the rifle work: a rigid 10/22 foundation, an accurate fluted steel barrel, useful magnified optic, practical field balance, and suppressor-ready configuration. Supporting components may evolve when a change preserves or improves those characteristics.

Suppressor-ready by design

The FDE Varmint was developed and tested as a suppressed rifle. This build is developed with a silver Dead Air Mask, which Driftwood identifies as the preferred pairing whenever a suppressor is configured. It is a recommended companion system, not a bundled or mandatory component of the Proven Build or of any resulting commission — Driftwood can facilitate a separate Dead Air Mask purchase and transfer alongside your build.
